LAKE CHARLES, LA - The Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL) announced today that the Corpus Christi Hammerheads have joined the league. League President Thom Hager states, “Not only has Corpus Christi proven to be a great market for indoor football, Chad Dittman and Robert Wehling run a first class operation”.
Hager said Corpus Christi was the number one rival team of the Louisiana Swashbucklers when they both played in the Intense Football League. “Fans were so disappointed when the Hammerheads and the Swashbucklers joined different leagues in 2009”, said Hager.
Chad Dittman’s experience in professional sports encompasses sales, marketing, and football operations. As the founder and president of the Intense Football League, Dittman will be a tremendous asset to the SIFL. “We’ve played in the National Indoor Football League, the Intense Football League, and the Indoor Football League. After reviewing the business model of the SIFL, I’m more excited than ever to be in this business“, stated Dittman. “Far too many teams have come and gone due to budgets that could never produce profits. When a team folds it’s not the owners who suffer the greatest loss, it’s the fans. The SIFL is all about the fans, the safety of the players, and profitability. This is a great league and we’re a great team. I can’t wait till March”.
